My Brother’s Keeper Outreach Center, is a sustainable 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that provides effectual assistance to individuals and families in crisis.

 

Our mission is to provide emergency assistance, social services and training for individuals and families in crisis that will stabilize, strengthen and empower them to help themselves.

Our vision is to enhance the quality of life of our clients. We seek to foster strong, competent, economically self-sufficient citizens who are positive contributors in our society.

FINANCIAL Literacy & Assistance

Personal finance education and assistance for individuals or families having trouble paying for rent and/or utilities.

Staple pantry items are provided for individuals or families dealing with food insecurity. 

STUDENT SUPPORT

We equip students with school supplies and uniforms as available to support their education. 

HOLIDAY OUTREACH

We provide Thanksgiving groceries and a Christmas gift for each child to help make the holiday season bright.

OUR HISTORY

1994

FOUNDED

Efforts to help those in need began in July 1994 in the home of founder, Renae Johnson.

2004

NON-PROFIT

The Family Life Christian Center was incorporated as a 501(c)3 on October 8 2004.

2007

BRANDING

Rebranded to 'My Brother's Keeper Outreach Center' in May 2007 and opened first facility in August.

2015

EXPANSION

Moved into a larger facility to better serve the community with a full size food pantry.

2020-2023

PANDEMIC

Served over 115K individuals by distributing $1.7 million in financial assistance and 1.2 million pounds of food.
